NetETH
The NetETH is part of the GateKeeper network access control system. It is the link between the GateKeeper computer and the access control units. The NetETH communicates with the computer via Ethernet. It communicates with the NetAX and NetNX access controllers via RS-485 local area network.
The NetETH contains large buffers for events and setup, including card holder records. It manages the local network coordination of anti-passback and card holder counter, between all the access controllers connected to it. The system allows the computer operator to unlock doors through the NetETH.
The access controllers can interface with virtually any reader technology on the market, including magnetic card and biometric readers.
