Access Control Cluster Controller

NetNX

NetNX

The NetNX is a networkable Access Control panel providing control of two to 32 doors. Each two doors are serviced by a NetIOX I/O expansion card connected to the NetNX. The NetNX provides battery backup charging, card holder and event memory, communication channels, real time clock and power outputs. It connects to 1 to 16 NetIOX cards for managing doors, elevator control and/or extra digital and analog inputs and relay outputs.

The NetNX receives tag codes and door inputs from the NetIOX cards and sends back commands for operating the door locks and reader LED outputs.

The two on-board relays are used for alarm and trouble indications.

NetNX Cluster Design advantages:

  • Single controller lower cluster cost per door.
  • Door/reader interface malfunction requires replacement of a low cost NetIOX card only.
  • Size of printed circuit boards is smaller than one
large board for many doors, or many two door controllers.
  • Built in battery charger in NetNX lowers cost of system.

NetIOX boards are daisy-chained using only four wires.
